Anyway, it was a pretty uneventful day and I did my usual sleeping allot thing because I’m tired all the time. My stomach was crampy on and off but with no diarrhea events. Drinking water and Sprite, my favorite soft drink because it has no caffeine in it. Oh, I did wake up from a nap and my friend had come by to see how I’m doing so that was a nice surprise.
Today (Thursday)I had scrambled eggs, I ventured out and had some El Pollo chicken, corn on the cob, and a spoonful of mac and cheese. The diarrhea started again today and I zapped it with Imodium which seems to have taken care of it for now. I figured out that when I’ve read reports of people with UC having 6 to 10 movements a day, and I was thinking “You’re kidding me! I wouldn’t last a week like that!”, I was looking @ it from a different perspective than I see my own incidents. I’m using a different counting system with myself.
I used to get so tired of getting out of the bed when my stomach started cramping, going to the bathroom, getting back in the bed, only to have to go back to the bathroom, then get back in the bed, to have to get back up and to back to the bathroom… you get the picture. That’s when I started just hanging out in the bathroom for longer periods of time until I was sure it was over. So, I was actually going a minimum of 3-4 times. On a real bad day, it’s 6-7 times. You don’t want to know what’s still left to get outta there by then, but let me tell ya, it’s not from this dimension. I hate the “Alien Syndrome” the worse because if you’re still cramping by then, you’re to weak and nauseous to fight back. I hate it when this happens and I’m out or visiting, or at work. It’s embarrassing to have to keep leaving the room, so I stay home and if I’m working, I have to just grin and bare it until there’s a break where I can disappear for awhile.
Alright. Enough of that… although this is a blog about UC… so I gotta go into detail every now and then.
